If you would like to know more about the person who created this site, you are in the right place.
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am from the tiny community of Heath, just west of the city of Paducah, in far western Kentucky. I work as a staff writer for my hometown newspaper, covering courts, emergency services and various human interest stories. I love meeting new people and going new places, so this is ideal.
I am married to Paul, who teaches geography at the junior college level and also works at a group home for special needs adults. He is originally from Chicago. We live on a farm that has been in my family for four generations. Although we don't have any horses right now, we do have some very spoiled cats.
* Interests: reading, writing, current events, pets, genealogy, travel, all things Disney, geocaching, attending horse races, cooking, herb gardening, Kentucky Derby history, collecting pressed coins and official Derby mint julep glasses, staying up late, sleeping in until noon, surfing the Internet, watching the river roll by.
* Favorite authors: Piers Anthony, David Eddings, C.S. Lewis, Jodi Picoult, Nora Roberts, Teresa Medeiros.
* Favorite movies: It Happened One Night, The Wizard of Oz, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride.
* Favorite songs: Most country songs, anything by the Eagles or Jimmy Buffett. I'm also a fan of American Idol.
